It all started with high fevers in Estes Park. Believe it or not, my fever got to the highest of 104 degrees. I remember that terrible feeling I had of headache and coughing. Then, when we arrived back home, I still wasn't feeling the greatest. Coughing and headaches continued.
My mom wanted me to sleep in her bed with her because, she was concerned about me. So, we were in bed and I believe I asked for something to drink. So, my dad went downstairs to grab me something. Then, after I drank that, I went back to bed. A few minutes later, my mom felt my forehead, said I was a bit hot and wanted my dad to check my temperature. It was around 103-104 degrees. So, my parents decided I needed to go to the ER.
My dad took me there. They checked me out, gave me medicine to help the fever, then said they were going to need to transport me to go to a different hospital to stay overnight. So, I ended up riding in an ambulance to get there. It was a very comfy ride since I got to ride in a bed. (I for sure stayed up past midnight that night).
Even though the food tasted like cafeteria food, I had a decent amount of stuff to do there. Play games on a T.V. and even play on a "Wii" and of course draw and sleep. It wasn't the most fun, but I made the most of it.
To conclude, the Pneumonia night was definitely something to never forget. Especially for me.
"Pneumonia" sucks |
What an ordeal! I'm just grateful to have my lovely granddaughter back. The world seemed pretty dreary while she was away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a crazy pneumonia story. It must have been awful to have that pounding headache in addition to a temperature around 104 degrees. I am glad that your parents took care of you and sent you to the ER when your temperature was too high. For a stay in the hospital, it sounds like you made the most of it.
